रेलकर्मियों को भी दुर्घटना बीमा उपलब्ध कराया जाए – डॉ राघवैया

कोविड महामारी से रही मौतों पर नेशनल फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडियन रेलवेमेन (एनएफआईआर) के महामंत्री डॉ एम. राघवैया ने रेलमंत्री से रेलकर्मियों को भी दुर्घटना की राशि उपलब्ध कराने के लिए की मांग की है।

कोविड-19 की इस महामारी में पूरा देश विकट परिस्थितियों से गुजर रहा है। जहां पूरे देश में लॉकडाउन लगा हुआ है, वहीं रेलकर्मी अपनी जान जोखिम में डालकर इस महामारी में भी रेल चलाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध हैं।

आवश्यक सेवाओं की पूर्ति के लिए रेलकर्मी दिन-रात काम कर रहे हैं। जीवनावश्यक दवाईयां, ऑक्सीजन, किराना, सब्जियां आदि वस्तुओं को पहुंचाने के लिए रेलकर्मी अपनी जान की परवाह किए बिना लगातार काम रहे हैं। 

वेस्टर्न रेलवे मजदूर संघ के अध्यक्ष शरीफ खान पठान ने एक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति जारी करके कहा है कि सैकड़ों की संख्या में रेल कर्मी ड्यूटी करते हुए संक्रमित हो चुके हैं और कई कर्मचारी इस महामारी के कारण अपनी जान गंवाकर शहीद हो चुके हैं। उनके परिजन किंकर्तव्यविमूढ़ होकर मदद की गुहार लगा रहे हैं, पर कोई सुनने वाला नहीं है।

इस संदर्भ में नेशनल फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडियन रेलवेमेन के महांमत्री डॉ एम राघवैया ने रेलमंत्री पीयूष गोयल से मुलाकात करके फील्ड में रेलकर्मियों की दुर्दशा से रेलमंत्री को अवगत कराया।

उन्होंने रेलमंत्री को बताया कि रेलकर्मी फ्रंट लाइन स्टाफ होकर महामारी के समय में अपनी जान पर खेल कर काम कर रहे हैं। रेलकर्मी आवश्यक वस्तुओं और सेवाओं को जरूरतमंदों तक पहुँचाने के लिए दिन-रात कार्य करते हुए संक्रमित हो रहे हैं। 

डॉ एम. राघवैया ने प्रधानमंत्री को भी एक पत्र लिखकर और रेलमंत्री पीयूष गोयल से मिलकर यह मांग की है कि जिस प्रकार सरकारी कर्मचारी की ऑन ड्यूटी मौत होने पर नियमानुसार उसके परिवार को 25 लाख रुपये दिए जाते हैं।

कोराना काल में भी कर्मचारी ड्यूटी पर संक्रमित हो रहे हैं, जिसके कारण कई कर्मचारियों की मौत हो चुकी है। उसी प्रकार कोविड से हुई रेल कर्मचारियों की मौत पर उनके परिवारों को उक्त राशि दी जानी चाहिए।

कोविड में हुई रेल कर्मचारियों की मौत पर उनके परिजनों को शीघ्र ही अनुकम्पा नियुक्ति प्रदान की जानी चाहिए और उक्त राशि का भुगतान किया जाना चाहिए। 

उन्होंने कहा कि इस महामारी में देश की सेवा में गाड़ी चलाकर अब तक करीब दो हजार रेल कर्मचारियों ने कोरोना की चपेट में आकर अपनी जान गंवाई है।

उन्होंने कहा कि रेलमंत्री ने डॉ एम. राघवैया को आश्वासन दिया है कि शीघ्र ही इस विषय पर विचार कर निर्णय लिया जाएगा।

Exgratia/monetary compensation to the families of railway employees who died due to Covid-19 pandemic infection in the course of performing duties

In this pandemic of covid-19, the country is going through a terrible situation where the almost entire country is under lockdown, whereas the railway workers are committed to running the railway in this epidemic too.

Railway personnel are working continue day and night to fulfill essential services like Medicines, oxygen, grocery, vegetables, etc. to deliver goods, regardless of their lives are working.

Sharif Khan Pathan, President WRMS told that hundreds of railway personnel have been infected by duty and many employees have lost their lives due to this epidemic.

Dr Raghavaiah, the General Secretary of the National Federation of Indian Railwaymen met Railway Minister Piyush Goyal.

He told the Railway Minister that railway personnel are working on their lives in the time of pandemics by being frontline staff. They are providing necessary goods and services, and getting infected by working for essential commodities.

Dr Raghavaiah has written a letter to the Prime Minister and even met Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and demanded that as soon as the employee dies, his family should be given Rs 25 lakh as per rules.

In covid-19, employees are getting infected on duty due to which many employees have died.

On the death of employees from covid, the family should be given the above amount.

In the event of death of employees in covid, a compassionate ground appointment (CGA) should be provided to their families soon and the said amount should be paid.

It is brought out that approximately 2000 railway employees have lost their lives serving the nation and running the trains in this period of Covid-19 pandemic.

The Railway Minister has assured Dr M. Raghavaiah that a decision will be taken after considering the subject soon.
