Demand of a new trains & wreak point, yard at Balurghat stn.
Kolkata: Eklakhi Balurghat Rail Yatri Kalyan & Samaj Unnayan Samity chairman Smritiswar Roy demanding from a long time that to give necessary administrative approvals of new trains runs from Eastern Railway (Kolkata) to Balurghat (NFR) like Howrah-Balurghat Biweekly, need it to be converted as Both side night service regular Train, Tevaga Express now runs from Monday to Friday regular as day service train, Kolkata-Balurghat Express, is a train of Eastern Railway.
Eastern Railway authorities now have withdrawn AC coaches. GM Eastern Railway not responding to our hundreds of appeal and not reconnecting the same. Same problems are arises for extension of Nabadwip-Malda train From Malda (ER) to Balurghat (NFR) 5 days a week. Roy said in a press release to ‘Rail Samachar’.
From Balurghat to Malda 110 km out of which only 5 km Eastern Railway track taking this opportunity they are creating everyday harassment for Gour link (Local link train up to Malda from Balurghat but it is known to us by the Railway Department personnel that it Is a journey of 1.58 hour). Every day we suffer as this train takes 3 hours or More time up and down journey to reach Balurghat from Malda town (ER).
Beside this we prayed to GM (Open line) and Principal COM, NF Railway, Maligoan to allow Delhi to district headquarters Balurghat, and Guwahati train and a local connectivity train up to Malda town (ER) over coming to the Himalayan obstruction created by Eastern Railway Authorities. This obstruction must not be removed if you directly interfere in these matters as cited above for the interest of north Malda and Dakshin Dinajpur district.
The second problem is that there is a need for extra lines for starting goods train at Balurghat but in spite of requirement of only 10-15 crores NFR construction deptt not starting this important project either gradually or totally, we are demanding to approve this money and to give a direction from railway end so that it can be started.
It is needless to mention that earlier Railway Minister agreed with us and issued a direction to NFR with a copy to Minister Ahluwalia and intimation to us in on July’14 but it is surprisingly seen only signalling of Balurghat, Rampurbazar, Buniadpur, Dewtala and Gazole completed on may’18.
Lastly many crores of money expended for Hili-Balurghat and Kaliaganj to Buniadpur and Gazole to Itahar in the year 2011 to 2013 recently we came to know that new gazette publication for primary steps of land acquisition and projects are published, if this the facts than how the huge money was expended than without approval for brizes Culverts and others in that projects without approval or if it was completed and duly approved projects then land acquisition and new notification are needed.
We demand a threadbare inquiry for the above questions for a huge amount of central govt money after proper enquiries by the competent authorities. We demand three projects must be started at a time to avoid any further questions. Railway Board must consider above problems so that NFR openline may help people as per our demand and necessities.
