Stepmotherly treatment from the Trivandrum Division and from its offices
Restore Nagercoil Sub-Division railway area to back to Madurai division
Separate (Kanyakumari-Trivandrum, and Nagercoil-Tirunelveli) from Trivandrum and attach the same with Madurai division
Kanyakumari: Recently permission has been granted to stoppage of Tirunelveli – Jamnagar Express bi-weekly 19577/19578 trains at Parasala station (PASA) at Kerala in Kanyakumari –Nagercoil – Trivandrum railway section. But in the same way, the stoppage at Kulitturai station (KZT) is not considered.
Also, this station is bigger and the revenue is more than Parasala station. The only reason for this action we feel that Kulitturai is located in Tamilnadu. Always only Kerala is given preference than Tamilnadu. This is a pathetic situation.
This shows that Trivandrum division is purposely neglecting Tamilnadu area railway station. For the information, this Kulitturai station stoppage is requested by former Central minister whereas Parasala station is requested by local MP. Because Parasala is located in Kerala and not in Tamilnadu.
This is a shameful act by Trivandrum Division. Most of the railway-related request form Tamilnadu is ignored by Keratitis.
In short, the Trivandrum Division has been doing great Injustice to the people of our district due to because people are in Tamilnadu.
The separation of railway lines in Kanyakumari district from the Trivandrum Division to Madurai Division is very much essential and is a very long demand of our people as we always face a “stepmotherly treatment from the Trivandrum Division and from its offices.”
So, people of Nagarcoil request you to Minister for Railways Piyush Goyal to consider their plea and initiate quick efforts in separating (Kanyakumari – Trivandrum, and Nagercoil – Tirunelveli) from Trivandrum and attach the same with Madurai division for the convenience of passengers. At the same time, Kollam-Punalur (excluding Shenkotah) be transferred to Trivandrum division. There is no loss for the Trivandrum and Madurai divisions as such.
