CLW has made World Record by producing 431 Locomotives in FY 2019-20

World’s biggest Locomotive Manufacturer Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) produces record 431 Locomotives in Financial Year 2019-20 (despite #COVID19 restrictions coming in force on 21.03.2020) surpassing it own world record of FY 2018-19.
In last FY 2018-19, CLW produced 402 locos which has been recognised by Limca Book of Records as World Record.
The production of CLW has witnessed a jump of 75% over the last 6 years from 250 in 2014-15 to 431 in 2019-20 to support 100% Electrification and Make in India.
CLW production of 431 locomotives in this Financial Year is 2.16 times the installed capacity of 200 locomotives per year.
With improved by supply chain management, hard work and dedication of staff, and officers of Team CLW has been able to achieve this ever best record production in FY 2019-20 by consistently producing average 40 locomotives since July 2019.
