A bogus TTE nabbed by CTC Antifraud Squad of Railway Board
Bogus TTE was checking passengers and collecting money from two years
New Delhi: As per source information was received at Railway Board that a bogus TTE works in some train between New Delhi and Faridabad section. On source information, under the orders of OSD/TC Railway Board, Naveen Singh Rawat a team was made to search and grab the Fake TTE.
The team consisted the following members from CTC/Antifraud Squad Vivek Singhai, Hemant Sharma, Sandeep Chaurse, Sumit Dehariya, and Vineet Dixit.
Since the team was in lookout search for the fake TTE. On Friday, 14th December 2018, in EMU no. 64073 at around 22.20 hours, the team spotted one person in TTE uniform and TTE receipt book checking the passengers in running train. The team kept a watch on him and on his dealings with passengers.
Soon the team interrogated him and demanded him his Identity Card and Checking Authority.
The fake TTE tried to push and run away but was grabbed by the CTC Antifraud team. In no time the fake TTE accepted that he was fake and produced the fake identity card, Excess Fare Receipt book (EFR) and Fare table.
His name was later revealed as Hardeep Singh, a resident of Sonipat, Haryana. He accepted of working as a fake TTE for the last two years check passengers and collect money from the passengers.
He was then taken to the Government Railway Police, (GRP), New Delhi and an FIR were lodged against him.
