CRB was apprised about the highest freight loading during the month of August
Kolkata: Chairman, Railway Board, and Ex Officio, the Principal Secretary to the Govt. of India Ashwani Lohani visited Chakradharpur Division of South Eastern Railway. During his visit, Shri Lohani inspected Noamundi Loading Siding and overviewed the Rapid Loading System (RLS).
CRB also met a host of trackman at Noamundi and distributed Safety kits e.g. raincoats, helmets, shoes etc. to the trackmen as precautions to their works in the rail lines.
Chairman, Railway Board visited Dangoaposi, Chaibasa and Chakradharpur stations and met with every segment of staff to have their experience and the facilities and amenities provided for them.
Chairman, Railway Board Shri Lohani inspected CCTV Rooms, Waiting Halls, Running rooms etc. at Chakradharpur station. Shri Lohani also met the MP and MLA of Chakradharpur Division, Representatives of Trade Unions etc.

Shri Lohani held a high-level meeting with the Additional General Manager/SER, Anirban Dutta, Divisional Railway Manager/Chakradharpur, Chhatrasal Singh and other senior railway officers. The focus of the meeting was on capacity enhancement and staff welfare of railways and recent development planning.
CRB was apprised about the highest freight loading during the month of August where S. E. Railway carried 13 million tonnes of Freight against the target of 12.80 Million tones fixed by the Railway Board.

Later, Chairman, Railway Board addressed the print and electronic media reporters regarding the future plan and programme of railways and advised the railway officers to have special thrust on safety as top priority.
