Inauguration of LI Diary – An Effective Tool to Loco Inspector

Energy Conservation by way of energy regeneration in 3-phase electric locos by the Loco Pilots of NCR – “A big contribution to Environment Improvement also”

Allahabad: It is worth mentioning that electrical energy regeneration in 3-phase locomotive by Loco Pilots in NCR has always been appreciated. By way of energy regeneration, a record saving of about Rs. 54 crore has been achieved in NCR during 2017-18, which is Highest over Indian Railways. In recognition of this commendable job done by Loco Pilots in NCR, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer (PCEE/NCR) Nasimuddin has distributed the cash award and LED bulbs to 10 Loco Pilots in HQ/NCR recently. He also stated that such efforts will continue in future to encourage energy efficient train operation to save Railway revenue & our environment.

Loco Inspector (LI) diary is a very important tool for Loco Inspectors where all the requisite and useful information related with Loco Crew are available at a glance for monitoring the overall performance of Loco Crew as well as LIs. After many years over NCR, keeping in view the essentiality and effectiveness, formats of LI diary has recast and meticulously designed by incorporating all the important monitoring indices, useful information and monitoring parameters at a glance in a user-friendly manner.

PCEE/NCR Nasimuddin has released the new LI Diary in HQ/NCR. He stated that new LI diary will help all the LIs for identification of weak areas of their nominated loco crews for giving necessary guidance, suitable direction & taking corrective action for further improvement. It will help loco operation officers also to assess and review the performance and shortcomings of LIs. Further, PCEE/NCR falicitate Kaushlesh Kumar Sharma, CLI/HQ with a cash award in recognition of commendable work to make effective & productive LI diary.

Mission Zero Grievances – Monitoring of Grievances of Loco Running staff

Running staff plays a very important role in safe train operation. Hence, it is necessary that their grievances are redressed satisfactorily in a time-bound manner.

North Central Railway has launched “Mission Zero Grievance”. as a challenge. This will help running staff to take quality rest at home and leads to achieve “Mission Zero Accident”.

To achieve “Mission Zero Grievance”, a meeting under the guidance of AGM/NCR Arun Malik was organized in Electrical Branch in HQ/NCR. In the meeting, PCEE, PCPO, PCSO along with HQ and divisional loco operation officer & supervisors were present.

Status and action plan for redressal of grievances was reviewed by AGM/NCR and directed for quick & time bound redressal of grievances of running staff. Also, stated that redressal mechanism should be institutionalized to resolve the grievances within 15 days.

PCEE/NCR, Nasimuddin emphasized for safe train operation and advised that redressal of grievances of running staff should be on priority.

PCPO/NCR, Nisha Tiwari stated that all out efforts to achieve “Mission Zero Grievance” should be made with close coordination of Sr.DEE/OPs and Sr.DPOs of the division.

At the end of the meeting, Chief Electrical Locomotive Engineer Anupam Singhal congratulated and thanked all officers for making this conference useful and successful.
