SER started Mobile Dispensary for remote area staff & their families

Kolkata: A ‘Sanjeevani Mobile Railway Dispensary’ was introduced by Kharagpur Division of South Eastern Railway as an innovative measure to extend the basic medical facilities to the staff working in remote areas. It was attached to 58021 Kharagpur-Tata Passenger Train, which was flagged off on 20th January 2018 from Kharagpur Station.

The staff with their family members staying in remote areas of the section, where medical facilities were not available were greatly benefitted.

A large number of railway employees of Adra and Chakradharpur Divisions have been posted at different stations and railway units in remote areas and they have been living there with their family members. They have a minimum medical facility.

Mobile Railway Dispensaries have been attached to convenient trains both at Adra and Chakradharpur Divisions and to roam around for rendering the medical facilities to the Railway employees and their family members residing in remote areas.

This Mobile Health Care system will also be helpful in reducing sick absenteeism and promote the overall health of the employees.
