NCR ZONE EXCEEDS TARGETS OF LOADING AND EARNING

Allahabad Bureau: The month of November 2017 has been especially rewarding for North Central Railway (NCR) which has exceeded previous year’s performance, and targets given by the Railway Board (Ministry of Railways) in the crucial freight sector in the month.
The data released in the first week of December shows that NCR has loaded 1.24 million tonnes of freight in the month of November, which, compared to November 2016 is an increase of 55.70% and is 14.95% above the target given by the Railway Board.
It is also the best ever loading for NCR in the period of one month since the inception of the railway zone. What is even more impressive is that the earnings of NCR in the month of November have surpassed the previous year’s November earnings by 50.58 % and the target by 43.40%.
On the cumulative front also, at the end of November, NCR has registered an improvement in the loading of 14.94% over previous year and has surpassed the target by 13.07%. Similarly, the earnings at the end of November in this financial year have registered a growth of 12.41% over the earnings in the same period last year and have surpassed the target by 7.06%.
Speaking about this achievement, GM/NCR, M. C. Chauhan said that N. C. Railway has put in extra efforts in this crucial field, which are yielding results. Giving credit for this extraordinary performance to his team of officers and staff GM/NCR has reiterated that NCR is committed to playing its part in the process of Nation Building.
