This will destroy the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi!

Projects completed during last FY at Balurghat area completely false

Balurghat: To know the false activities and continuous advertisement from the part of the Railway (NFR) to higher authorities for all stations of Eklakhi to Balurghat line (87.5km), under Balurghat parliamentary constituency of West Bengal, there is the only solution public movements to bring the actual truth to open the people of this district.

In Railway portal expenditure in the Balurghat Parliamentary area for the last financial year of Eklakhi Balurghat section under NFR Katihar Division, shown and declared are completely false, Eklakhi-Balurghat Rail Yates Kalman-O-Samaj Unnayan Samity challenged it and said a written post that because definitely, this will destroy the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, perhaps this is willfully played.

As per Samity, the Present situations are:

1. Not a single decimal land has been acquired by the NFR construction or openline, the projects are (a) Gazole to Itahar (8km) (b) Buniadpur to kaliaganj (20km), (c) Hili to Balurghat (28.5km), total cost Rs 423 crores, perhaps fund diverted.

2. Multifunctional complex Balurghat (500 sqm) Rs 75 crores. Presently no stretch.

3. Infrastructure development (for 10 stations) = Rs 100 crores, vanished from the picture.

4. Electrification from Balurghat to Eklakhi total 87.5km. = Rs 79 crores, tender called and declared technically defective, perhaps these funds are vanished and diverted.

5. Up gradation of Rampur Bazar, Gangarampur and Deotala stations (from Halt to B status) Rs 5 crores + Rs 5.64 crores = Rs 10.64 crores, in this stage Gangarampur halt station totally untouched and other two stations half done i.e. 2nd platform, Sheds, Over bridges and other works including staff quarters untouched but it is canvased as complete, are false.

6. Station buildings including its infrastructures are for Mollickpur, Malancha, Doulatpur, Mahanagar stations are Comical.

7. PRS systems opened at Gangarampur and Balurghat out of those two no tickets of reservation are issued from Balurghat station since one day after inauguration.

Samity chairman Smritishwar Rao said, In our view, they are very much interested in land purchasing with the help of touts for what reasons not known to us. Most interesting seen is that in those three unauthorized project’s Constructions were made by Malda NFR construction office in the year from 2008 to 2011 i.e. for above three projects as cited in item 1, bills already paid, we do not know how it was possible? Knowing fully well no inquiries, no departmental questions arise till date by any side. Please expose this for the interest of the unfortunate people of this district and oblige, he requested to the media.

He said We apprehend the results of present assembly poles shows for the random ignorance of the opinion of a man like us. The same will occur at our parliamentary seats of Bengal. This bye passing and ignorance from the part of Railway as well as central govt definitely to damage the importance of District town Balurghat, for want of wreck point at Balurghat station (the district headquarter) and in spite of guarantee of daily wreck for coming five years the NFR are sleeping and creating hidden policy to damage the Dakshin Dinajpur district’s headquarters Balurghat.

We are disappointed after continues four and half years ignorance and non-compliance of our any demands as above an extension of Balurghat-Howrah train no. 13063/64 as both side night service train, Extension of a starting point of Delhi (bi-weekly), Nabadwip Express, Puri (weekly), Digha (bi-weekly), Chennai (bi-weekly) up to Balurghat station under NFR, Katihar.

It a very funny matter that for extension of above trains no funds are necessary except only paper’s order, but the NFR dribbling and waiting for the declaration of the parliamentary election, Rao said.

Lastly, we want to draw media attention that Eklakhi-Balughat section is under NFR but it is a great funny matter is that all trains of this section are of Eastern Railway, perhaps NFR has given this section in the lease to Eastern Railway to avoid their liabilities. We strongly demand at least one train should be allowed for Balurghat to Guwahati by the NFR of their own.

This is the humble request from the people of Dakshin Dinajpur district and Balurghat, Gangarampur and other stations, Rao said.
