{"id":872,"date":"2019-09-22T21:48:30","date_gmt":"2019-09-22T16:18:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/railsamachar.com\/english\/?p=872"},"modified":"2019-09-22T21:48:31","modified_gmt":"2019-09-22T16:18:31","slug":"digital-aadhaar-and-driving-licence-as-proof-of-id-for-the-journey-by-train","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/railsamachar.com\/english\/?p=872","title":{"rendered":"Digital Aadhaar and Driving Licence as proof of id for the journey by Train"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Kolkata:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0The issue regarding accepting Aadhaar and Driving Licence as valid proof\u00a0<\/strong>of identity when presented from digital locker account of the passenger has been examined by Ministry of Railways and it has been decided that while undertaking journey in a train, if a passenger shows the Aadhaar\/Driving Licence from the \u2018Issued Documents\u2019 section by logging into his\/her DigiLocker account, the same should be considered as valid proof of identity. It is, however, clarified that the documents uploaded by the user himself\/herself (i.e. the documents in \u2018Uploaded Documents\u2019 section) will not be considered as a valid proof of identity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>At present, the following proofs of identity are considered as valid for undertaking the journey in any reserved class of Indian Railways:-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1. Voter Photo identity card issued by Election Commission of India<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2. Passport<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">3. PAN Card issued by Income Tax Department<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">4. Driving Licence issued by RTO<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">5. Nationalised Bank Passbook with a photograph<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">6. Credit Cards issued by Banks with laminated photograph<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">7. Unique Identification Card-Aadhaar, m-Aadhaar&amp; e-Aadhaar<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">8. Photo identity card having a serial number issued by Central\/State Government<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">9. Student Identity Card with photograph issued by recognized School\/College for their students<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">10. Photo Identity cards having a serial number issued by Public Sector Undertakings of State\/Central Government, District Administrations, Municipal bodies and Panchayat Administrations<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">11.
