{"id":586,"date":"2019-09-14T15:24:17","date_gmt":"2019-09-14T09:54:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/railsamachar.com\/english\/?p=586"},"modified":"2019-09-14T15:24:18","modified_gmt":"2019-09-14T09:54:18","slug":"railways-carry-out-track-renewal-between-tyakkal-malur-section","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/railsamachar.com\/english\/?p=586","title":{"rendered":"Railways carry out track renewal between Tyakkal-Malur section"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Bengaluru:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>South Western Railway, Bengaluru Division<\/strong>\u00a0in a bid ensure the safe running of trains, 4.28km of railway track between Tyakkal and Malur, both in Kolar district, was thoroughly renewed (replacement of old rail and sleepers with new ones) on Sunday, 25th February.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The railway line between the two stations was blocked for railway traffic about five hours from 10am to 3pm to carry out the renewal works. This will also help in gaining of about seven minutes of running time for all the Mail\/Express trains between Jolarpet and KSR Bengaluru City.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAs many as 18 old rails were removed during the renewal and moved to Tyakkal yard for reuse at a suitable location. The rails were painted with anticorrosive paints,\u201d said in a press note issued here.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Welding has been carried out at 19 places including the spot where new rails were fitted. Five steel girders were launched at Devanagundi yard in connection with Rail Over Bridge work for the elimination of the Level Crossing Gate.
