by SERly to make freight movement by railways attractive.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>South Eastern Railway<\/strong> has generated a revenue of Rs. 1440.36 crores from freight loading in the month of December 2020 as against Rs. 1262.85 crores in December 2019 registering a growth of 14.06%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The growth comes despite a significant contraction of the economy over the past several months due to the disruption created by the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\">In the month of December, 2020 South Eastern Railway has loaded 16.63 million tonnes of freight as against 15.49 million tonnes loaded in December, 2019 registering a growth of 7.36%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">This leads to surpass the target of 15.59 million tonnes of freight loading fixed for the month of December 2020 by loading 1.04 million tonnes more than the target.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\">The main commodities of freight loading of SER were Iron Ore, Coal, Pig Iron and Finished Steel, Cement, Food Grains, Fertiliser etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">A number of concessions\/discounts are being given by South Eastern Railway to make freight movement by railways attractive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\">With a view to attract new business, Senior Officers of\u00a0South Eastern Railway\u00a0have been regularly holding meetings with representatives of different industries and freight customers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The formation of Business Development Units at Zonal and Divisional levels and increase in speed of freight trains have also contributed to the growth of freight loading.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\">#SER
