Do you know what STEC stands for?<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

It stands for Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co. Ltd.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, you guessed right.<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s a Chinese multinational civil construction firm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yesterday, it bagged the civil contract package 4 of Delhi-Meerut RRTS line.<\/span><\/p>\n

They are now going to design and construct tunnels by TBM from near New Ashok Nagar DN Ramp to Sahibabad UP Ramp and One Under Ground Station at Anand Vihar by Cut & Cover Method on Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor.<\/span><\/p>\n

This will Include:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Architectural Finishing and Design<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of:<\/span><\/p>\n

(a) Electrical and Mechanical Systems<\/span><\/p>\n

(b) Fire detection & suppression Systems<\/span><\/p>\n

(c) Hydraulic systems<\/span><\/p>\n

Imagine!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A Chinese company working on our infrastructure at a time when things are so unsettled with China!<\/span><\/p>\n

How risky this project can be in terms of the nation’s security!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Indian company Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (L&T) couldn’t bag this contract because it bid Rs 1,170 crore.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Tata Projects Ltd.- SKEC JV couldn’t bag this project because it bid Rs 1,346 crore.<\/span><\/p>\n

But Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co. Ltd. (STEC) which bid Rs 1,126 crore, got it.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

From the above figures we can see that L&T bid just 44 crore more than STEC.<\/span><\/p>\n

Apparently, \u0906\u0924\u094d\u092e\u0928\u093f\u0930\u094d\u092d\u0930\u0924\u093e comes cheap in India<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Only 44 crores<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

And all that talk by Modiji about being “Vocal about Local” is just hot air.. Nothing else..<\/span><\/p>\n

If the Government of India can’t shell out just 44 crore\u00a0extra for the Nation’s pride and security, does it have any right to ask us citizens to only buy local even though it pinches our purse?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
